James, we can all dig up dirt on either party if we go far enough back.

Makes you wonder how things were before the advent of mobile phones, for messaging and secret filming. It's only since they were invented, that all the crap in politics has emerged. All the spying between "so called allies", people we trust. I think trust has gone out the window.
How dodgy were bolloticians in the past?

I naturally would support the South being as I hailed from Southend-on-Sea, Essex, now that's gotta be the deep South, Southend. Cheers, Rodney

Cameron was the fool for even considering the referendum on EU membership.

As to the number 10 drink up.

    Boris obviously upset some.
He lived in a small apartment within number 10.
Comes home to find all the public servants who work there on the P15s, so he has a drink.
A smart rear ender takes a photo and it is good night Boris.

From across the globe and seeing the situation I do not consider him to have been stupid by any means.
John Boris did not know the Brexit vote result until he got up the next morning. He was gob smacked and went into a panic!!! Why because he had no plan as he seriously never thought there was a cats hell in chance the Brexiteers would win the Referendum.
As for Cameron , he was oblidged to hold the referendum as it was in the Conservative party's manifesto.
When Cameron resigned Boris did run for the leadershipbut withdrew before the final vote. Theresa May was a shoe in. Boris became foreign Sec in her government. He stood back and watched May make a fool of herself stepped up and stabbed her in the back.

#26. I read an article once Fouro in a U.S. paper about a Sheriff in a mid west township , who was also mayor and in charge of the local prison. He had the inmates under canvas at nights and hard labour by day .When interviewed by the media his reply was “ why should prisoners have the luxuries of a solid roof over their heads , while our own armed forces don’t have that luxury in Vietnam , they stay under canvas and that’s it “. I totally agree with him. Cheers JS

    John.

The Sheriff of Maricopa, County, Arizona, Sheriff Joa Arpailo was the one who did this, he built a tent-city that operated in addition to a regular prison to house the overflow, The tent-city was a seven acre facility, the not so happy campers got two meals a day with meat just once a week and wore leg irons. In addition, he only issued pink underwear and made them wear them. It was opened and in business for 25 years and was closed upon the retirement of Sheriff Joe, by the newly elected replacement Sheriff. In the last year of operation, it cost the taxpayers of Maricopa County a loss of 8.5 million dollars. So, it was finally closed for financial reasons.

One ex-inmate wrote an article on it and described it "As a living hell." I would imagine so as a balmy late spring, summer and early fall have day temperatures. in the 115f. plus range dropping to the 90f's of a night. I don't know if you ever camped or had a tent in your back yard, back in "Jolly" as a kid, but it was hot under canvas during an English summer.

I remember that sheriff, at the time I thought it would be a good thing here in Aus, put them in tents out in the bush, as it is now some are barley out of prison before they are back again, must be a good feeder.

Des, there are some to whom prison is their only home.
