Seems like a good rule !but difficult to comply with due to the amount of parked cars breaking the rule ,do not park at or near a junction. Though or maybe that has changed too

The only problem I've seen, is turning into a side road from a main road, and drivers behind getting a bit hooty tooty if there's a gap in the traffic, but someone insists on crossing the road slowly on foot. It seems OK exiting a side road and someone is crossing. Although most people tend to use common sense and wait till the vehicle has gone.

Think the rule changed in January 23? Pedestrains right of way at road junctions. Personally I think traffic leaving a main road should have right of way. France !!!! how daft is this you have a road junction controlled by traffic lights, the light changes in you favour, you commence your turn but have to brake as the pedestrain crossing (also ccontrolled by stop and walk lights) has switched to walk. Why oh why do they put a crossing right on a road junction.

    Hi Mike.
Look like they want the road toll higher to me.

    James that is common here.
At road junctions with a dotted white line the law is the same as UK one, but no line up to the motorist if they want to stop.

But at roundabouts it is common to see a crossing there as well.
    Causes all manner of problems.

Another pain in the ass here is the more and more of 20 MPH speed restrictions now in Place.

In London, more people will die from toxic fumes due to vehicles creeping along in lower gears, than getting run over at 30mph.

Must be a global thing as here in city center of Melbourne down to 40 kph.
But often the volume of traffic sees you doing only 30kph.
Then the lord mayoress our Sally Crap, put in so many bike lanes no one uses it is hard to get around.
