Suck on this
Last week I had a very sore throat and needed something to soothe it.
Why not try sucking a Fishermans Friend said the wife.
I burst out laughing.
What is so funny about that she asked.
I then explained that had she said something like that back in the early 60's she could have been in serious trouble.
Happy daze John in Oz.
Life is too short to blend in.

Fishermans friend is about the only fishing related industry left in Fleetwood these days. Keep sucking them John (the lozenges that is) help keep some poor sod in a job.

Re: Suck on this
Hi John.
Have tried to get those but no luck, but found something that is in my opinion a lot better. Called "Chemist 's own,Sore Throat Lozenges", best I have ever come across. Suck one of those and withing a few minutes your sore throat has gone. Better taste than UCL.

I always carried a few packets of Fisherman's Friends when at sea and still keep some now. Thinking of all the different things for a sore throat as a lad it was Victory V Lozenges and Gums, they burned the back of your throat as I remember.
Bill.

my wife was almost addicted to victory V years ago but they had to change the formulation; they are still available but difficult to find.
