Rodders, why is it then that when our Donald lost office the authorities did not remove all documents from his house.
Then why did he have so many there in the first place, surely if so secret they should have been kept in the White Hosue for security?
Johnno. Because he stole them, then lied about it to the Government and then the FBI. The White House cops could not say to the outgoing president, spread your legs, hands against the wall, give the Ex-president a pat down, and ask him to open all his cases. It's called trust. And when his property is searched and he is asked is this all and he say's "Yes". His word of honor is accepted. again, it's called trust. And when an employee squeal on his boss and they find a ton more, the trust part ends and he is charged with removal of national documents and 36 other offences. The trust is gone.
All documents received or sent are property of the state, the Library of Congress, not the sender or the recipient. The Library of Congress holds them for their security factor (nobody can see them for x number of years depending on their contents or subject matter). Every President knows this, some may take a couple home to review and forget about them, it's still against the law, but the count now stands at over 300 files and counting many marked Top Secret and Secret, stored in his ballroom, living rooms, even stacked in a toilet. Most of the files carry charges of five, ten and twenty years each. Legal experts claim if he is found guilty, he would get 20 years. Which is a life sentence at his age.
To charge a president with high crimes is not something that can be lightly done, and not something that can be done as a revenge act or something by an opposing political party. The FBI are not under the jurisdiction of the government; however the head of the FBI is appointed by the president for a max of ten years and approved by the senate. President Trump hand picked and nominated him and the Republican senate approved him.

A scenarios, our Donald gets ten years, but still stand for election and wins.
Then what happens, if he cannot pardon himself how can he continue working from inside?
Could he be given parole, or could his sentence be reduced so he could come out?
Sounds a bit mad I know, but looking at some USA rules in the constitution no wonder!!
I wonder if this thing is a setup? Maybe they all take stuff home? How many times have we heard about people leaving top secret papers on buses or trains? The other thing is, who take this stuff to Trumps home? I couldn't imagine him carrying wads of paperwork home from the office. I bet he doesn't even know where his toaster is in the kitchen.
I wonder if the donald has this on his to watch list.
