Well here in Victoria the police are now investigating the private company the premier gave so many major projects to.
A ghost shift has come to light with some working a 48 hour day for $200 an hour.
But like Shultz, premier say I know nothing!!!!

John.
My wife keeps asking why are they doing this Voice bullshit, don't the Aboriginals have the vote already? The last vote that got up was to recognize that the Aboriginals were Australasian and part of the populace, I think the majority are as puzzled as hell what it is all, about, are they going to have a cabal in the parliament to tell the Govt what they want? If so it wont be for the ordinary Aboriginal it will be for the elders.

In another post Des raised the issue of the 'Voice'.
This will be another way for the Aboriginal community to communicate with the gov.
That is the gov line on this,.
In 1970 the Aboriginal population were given the vote, making them genuine Australian citizens.
But now some in the Aboriginal community want more, they want to be able to consult with the gov of the day on any matter that takes their fancy.
It will allow them special access to the gov, something the other 98% of the population will not have.
There are currently 6 different divisions of Aboriginal acre agencies, having since 1970 received over $3 billion since then in aid, but still there are many living in very poor conditions.
Wife beating and child abuse still goes on, many have not improved their life style despite all the efforts of the various systems to assist them in such.
But here is the problem, the gov want a referendum on the matter which needs a majority of votes in a majority of states to get up.
Then if it does the gov will sit down with a body from the Aboriginal population and decide on how this will work, what the rules will be and who will be the representative group.
They will then be able to stop if they wish any gov laws which they consider will not give them exactly what they want, it will divide the nation in a similar manner to Apartheid in South Africa, why should one body have more power over the gov than the rest?
The gov is using bodies such as sporting groups in an effort to get their way with the people, people who will use their own mind not that of the sporting code they support.
The NO campaign is being run not just by the opposition but also by an Aboriginal group lead by an Aboriginal MP, they see no good to come from it.
Australia is one of the most multicultural countries there are, people from 187 countries live here.
The biggest racist group, the Aboriginal who claim the land was stolen from them along with a few ethnic groups.
As an Aboriginal man once told me, 'The land is here for all, we do not own it we are just custodians for the next generation"
Should it by chance get up my opinion for what it is worth, nothing for them will improve beyond what they have now.
Since Federation in 1901 there have been 44 such referendums, only 7 have got up.
