    Default British Comedy

As we here in Aussie get per Paid TV, like Foxtel and Optus I do watch a lot of things on the Box, but one of my all time Favourite pastimes on the Box is without a doubt the British Comedy Series, that come on during the Year, with different Episodes of a lot of the British Comedy!
So just last Week once again they started the one that i really ge a good laugh from, and that is the old Steptoe and Son. The first Episodes were in the old Black and White, now after two Weeks the Colour ones have started, which are just as good , but funnily enough to me in Colour although the Viewing is i must say better on the Eyes, the Black and White to me has that something special about it! I guess like many other Black and White TV shows of old, and the good old Films as well.
But as said in all, there is and never will be the likes of the old English Comedian! Only the greatest!
    Cheers

    A good list here!

    Vernon.
We don't watch much TV straight , we watch all the old comedies, we have loads, but we also have lots in our local Library. If you haven't watched "Green Green Grass" try and get it, Boyce and Marlene from Only Fools and Horses are in it. also "The Detectorists" a dry but excellent comedy.

I can really recommend a Eric Sykes one called "The Plank". It is a classic and has everyone in it from that era and the only words spoken in it are? That's paint. Seeing Joan Lumley as a teenager is something as well lol. I have the cd of a lot of Eric Sykes shows and when you consider that he was totally deaf it makes his acting even more so, Anyone that can not get a laugh out of this one is bloody dead for sure
That's the way the mop flops.

The problem now is of course WOKE.
No matter how good those shows were they will never appear on free to air again.
Apart from PM question time there is very little real comedy now, the new age stuff is just plain crap.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

I remember one where Eric Sykes was in the bath playing with his toy boat, but I can't remember the name of his sister who was a very good comedian.

    Hi John
At times not often though one does get a Comedy from Britin on the ABC Channel Free to Air! Its a shame really that they have stopped all that on Free to Air, i dont see what is wrong with most of the Shows. Just plain old Fun!

There was never a problem with those old comedy shows until they started watching them with a fecking closed mind. If they only stepped back and watched them in true perspective then they would have seen that they discriminated against the white aglo saxon just as much as those with a skin colour opposite white. Lets just look at Spike and his antics if he did not take the urine out of about every one then I stand corrected. What a fecking boring world we find ourselves being ruled by makes one appreciate being at the tail end of it all does it not. Mind going to repeat myself and say? What a spoilt generation we where as we had the cream and for most of us. Made the most of it lol

There is a channel on Freeserve, called "That's TV", it shows all the old comedy shows such as Benny Hill, currently watching Alf Garnet In Sickness and Health.
