Why has this post been turned into a debate on the NUS? This is only one of the lies told to get a leave vote, that the NUS would receive increased funding outside of the EU.
Is the UK more prosperous after leaving? Do we have control of our borders? Have fishing rights been secured? Are legal and illegal immigration numbers falling? Has the UK government achieved massive investment opportunities? Are we all better off outside the EU?

The answer to these and many other question's is NO. Once again we have been manipulated to believe the Tories lies and spin.

Wrong , the answer is a very loud YES. Amazing the number of people who advocate that Brexit was wrong who do not even live in a EU country. I can tell you that disenchanment with Brussels and those appaling people who supposedly run Europe is growing daily. The list of draconian measures they try to introduce , corruption scandals and general incompetence . I would opine that your points regarding immigration etc. are in fact a reflection on your own government's failings and nothing to do with the EU.

Don't forget that you may be saddled with an incompenent and corrupt government - so do we but whereas you only have one layer of this we have two - our own and the one in Brussels.

Democracy is not static, nor are it's decisions permanent. That's why it's democratic.
It would seem that every opinion poll for the past year that was based on the question as to whether Britain should rejoin or remain out of the EU has shown on average a 10% lead for Britain to rejoin the EU.
Similarly, opinion polls on the question of whether it was right or wrong to leave the EU are producing results showing 50 odd percent think it was wrong, with only 30 odd percent thinking it was right.
Hardly surprising considering what a mess it's all been and continues to be, plus the particularly stark difference in attitude dependent on age.

If there was another referendum on leave or remain the EU Remain /Rejoin would win.
Well that is according to the Independent.

Rushi is now reduced to having to stand beside Von Der Lyden & Chancellor Scholz at all these big G7 or whatever they are called. Even the little Napoleon gets centre stage alongside president Biden.
I will make a forecast the next government will plant the seeds for another referendum at some stage during their term in office.

Polls in themselves are misleading, the questions are framed by the pollsters to garnish the results they want.

You can bounce all the figures you like from polls, with their differing percentage numbers, but the only figure that is 100% correct is the one from the last referendum. You can of course go down the Scottish route, ie keep calling for another referendum because you don’t like the result of the last one.

When the next referendum, if called the wording will be different, The EU may even assist in the wording of the questions.
I reckon 50%+1 will not be an acceptable requirement. A resounding yes vote will be required 57.5% yes would represent a 10%? swing away from the leave vote of 2016.
Time will tell, we all know how politicans flip & flop but will say one thing at least Rushi Sunak was never a remainer unlike previous Tory Prime Ministers who flipped & flopped along with the opposition parties.

Did we ever find out what Corbin wanted on the Brexit situation, talk about flip flop, more like ducking and diving. One day you labour supporters will admit, Corbin murdered the party, and the main labour shadow gov were supported of Corbin, why did they not rebel?, because they were weak.

Yes Keith, Corbyn flipped & flopped along with a lot of politicians. He became leader in 2015 and did his best to ensure we would have a Conservative government for the next 10 years more or less. Labour voted for the wrong Miliband in 2010, should have been David as leader, things may well have turned out differently if they had. british politics is in a real mess. Stumbling from one disaster to another.

The EU is not Democratic, in the UK whether we like it or not we two main Political Parties.
The EU has a semblance of Democracy with Elections every so many years, but there is only one party no opposition.
The main power is the 25 man Commission, the make the decisions and the so called Assembly rubber stamps theorder or else.
