Re: Who is gonna be next for the sword
#20 Iraq was the bees knees when they were fighting Iran. That suddenly changed I have not seen any plausible reason yet for the change of heart. JS

Re: Who is gonna be next for the sword
When Iraq invaded Kuwait, Saddam was doomed. I can understand why Saddam invaded Kuwait. He had been fighting a war against Iran for nearly 10 years was it? for and on behalf of the other Gulf states. They were supposed to financially support Iraq and help with rebuilding Iraq after war. Never trust an Arab, they failed to do so and the Gulf states were making $billions of $$$$$, especially seeing as Iran &Iraq were in ruins or as good as.
Was Kuwait not originally part of Iraq?On it's formation did it not fall under the status of being a British protectorate state until 1961?
This lead to the first gulf war in 1990
George Bush asked Margaret Thatcher what she thought, and encouraged him to remove Iraq from Kuwait. When asked would she use Nuclear weapons if Saddam used his Chemical weapons!!!(WMD's)
Read the attached link, it really is worthwhile reading.
Old Maggie did a good job on George Bush senior. Only thing that war failed to acheive was the removal of Saddam.
12 years later Gulf war 2 and George W Bush did a con job on Tony Blair(WMD's) But it was also in response to the 911 attacks on the USA 2001. This gave George W Bush the excuse he needed so decided he would finish the job his papa had & Major failed to do.
