    Default Of Masts and Trees

I have been sitting all afternoon watching some blokes take down a giant Gum tree in a backyard across the street, neat and all chewed up in a crusher, but there is one bit left the tallest and not to thick a branch' about sixty feet high, there was me waiting to see what they would do to take that last branch down, when they packed up and drove off.
Question is now, do they come back tomorrow to finish the job, they can't get a bucket up there no room to get it into the backyard. it looks like a good wind will bring it down. My wife said why don't you go over there and climb up and cut it down LoL.

Des I had one but council would not allow it to be cut down.
So I gave it a good drink of Glyphosate, dead trees have to come down.

A sure way to get rid of any Tree is to treat it with Copper Nails , never fails !

    Oh yes it does!

Tried that with an oak in our garden, plus every other trick and old wives tale, it withstood all attacks, it had seen many in its 100 plus year existence, even survived the 1987 hurricane when 15,000 trees within a 3 mile radius were snapped like twigs, including all my apple and pear trees. It had a preservation order on it, even god didn't touch it.

I have a horse chestnut tree in my garden which has a tree protection order on it, it is fairly near the house, so has to be taken back to its original pollard position, approx every 5 years. The roots must be under my house, which is nearly a hundred years old. So if this tree were to die, i have no doubt would cause shrinkage as the roots rot, and could cause damage. The incredible thing is that my sewerage system, which is very deep, and in the 30 years that i have lived here has not affected the sewerage system. now that i have stated that, i will have to cross my fingers for some considerable time.

Bugger, woke up to the sound off a chainsaw and missed the bugger, looked out of the window and the tree was gone.
Two years ago we were in Canberra when my son got a phone call from our neighbour who said that the big tree in our front yard had come down in the wind, the SES were there wanting permission to cut it up, we were very lucky it came down between both houses, would have smashed the roof in.
