Just looking through an old Wirral history site an article about Seacombe near Wallasey. It gives a little bit of history and describes Seacombe back in the 1800's as a fishing village on the Mersey. Hard to imagine as it certainly is not a quaint little fishing village now.
But came across this apparently was part of a street song.

Wallasey for Wreckers

Bidston for trees

Upton for honest men

And Birkenhead for thieves.

A popular 19th century nursery Rhyme.
