That’s the only reason I go back to UK Des is to see Family. The journey I wouldn’t want to face anymore . I made a point of making my last trip a few years ago to coincide with the 30 th. anniversary of the Piper Alpha disaster to pay my last respects to the 167 deaths who in a way I consider family also. However ones own personal family always comes first and nothing should interfere with that. I have 1 brother , a son and a daughter , and 4 grandkids aged between 18 and 25 , and who knows may have great grandkids by now.. I always meet up with Cappy as he lives close to my kids so consider him my Great Uncle , but do wish he would stop harping on about this 3/9d. However is hard to upset the feelings of great Uncle Scrooge. I can say this as the time in the uk is about 0100 hours and he will be in bed snoring his head off. Cheers JS

Yes Louis the best country there is.
For that reason we have people here from some 187 other countries.

Wok and you will do well, mix in with anyone you meet and you will do well.
Drink in any bar you come to and you will really do well.

Do as you like provided it is legal, dress as you want, no stuffed shirts here.
Saw a wedding a few weeks back up in Moama on the Murray, the best man and others all with bow ties, waistcoats, shorts and thongs.
Well it was warm, but that is how we are.
Doubt there is another country where you can be who you are and no one will complain.

#12 One tip though , don’t wear flip flops to a Happy Hour May result in damaged toes when trying to catch the barmaids eye. As regards the wok John in Oz is trying to learn Cantonese to welcome our Chinese visitors when they get rid of the Covid , or they decide to come here permanently. Cheers JS

If I was twenty years younger I would be learning Mandarin in order to speak to the new locals, I'd hate to to get shot like those in the States because I didn't know what was what in the mushroom shed.
