Saw a bit on the net today about Nuclear reactors in UK.
According to the news power is in short supply and the French owned reactors due to close soon will have their life extended to enable the country to run.
Renewables do not provide enough power.
Even her in Oz where we get plenty of Solar and some wind, most from parliament, up in NSW last week the premier put out a warning for people to reduce their power use as the system could not handle the situation.
So much fort going all renewables.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Life is too short to blend in.

The Nuke plants are having a life extension I think it is 5 or 7 years ? I have to wonder why they decided to close them in the first place. Fingers crossed we do not have Chernobyl type accident.
Anyway the fella in charge has said don't worry all will be well in 2029, he has pressed the reset button .

EV's again. My wifes cousin called this week to drop off christmas cards. She was in her company car, some Tesla thing. How do you like it? Bloody useless she says , handy for local runs but she works nation wide as a Medical Rep. I am going to Cardiff for 2 days , taking the train. If I take the car it adds 2 hours to my journey as I have to stop and charge it twice. Trying to find a charging point that is working can be a night mare. Her husband works in Liverpool so he trains it in Merseyrail. She sends him a text do not worry no one has nicked your car , the Tesla is on chage take that if you need it I am in York until tomorrow. She says the Med company are reviewing the employees car policy as the EV's are costing sales due to reps being late for appointments

Could not let this one go through to the keeper John. Think that if you delved into this a bit further you would find that there where three power stations down for maintenance and a couple more had problems. Hence we where relying on renewables to keep the lights on. But like Dutton lets not spoil a good story with facts hey lol
That's the way the mop flops.

My thanks to Brian for this site.
