    Default Boom baboon

On our lunch time TV news an interesting article from South Africa.
From Cape Town and Simons Town.

There are in those areas a large numbers of Baboons, real ones not just Polis, they mix well with the public and show no fear when near them.

Large families of them along with the young who cling to mum as she walks along.
No doubt for the visitors a most delightful sight with the tourists busy with the cameras.

But there is more to this story than just the playful antics of Baboons on the main streets, a lot more than that.

These creatures may look playful and willing to mix with all others on the road, walking along side people as they journey on.

But there is the other side of them, not bad but very disruptive none the less.

Images of them jumping up through open windows and through open doors.
Once inside the house they have great fun.
Some seen in a kitchen opening cupboard doors and removing what they could, and any food, well that is a bonus for them.

Then in the bathroom two inspecting the toothpaste and soap, have to stay clean it would appear.
One even lifted the toilet lid, did he want a drink or a leak one wonders.

A spokesman for the local residents said the locals were quite happy to live long side the local wild life and wondered if the Baboons would ever invite the locals back to their place?

Such are the complications of living in the region of the Baboons.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Life is too short to blend in.

Seen many of tose Baboons in my time in Cape Town John, as said they can be really nice to watch, but can also as said be so bloody disruptive.
Another thing is that you do have to watch them at all times, as although at most times they are pretty calm and tame, they have that nasty instinct within them, and can attack as well, this i have seen first hand, not nice i can assure you! They always Roam in Groups, so that their strength is kept together, so just beware! when getting too close to a Baboon Troup!

    Cheers
