Re: The last cape horners
Here's the link Tom, they sailed round the world trouble free after that ordeal, then later they ran a second hand boat store in Lymington, called yacht grot, now gone. Apologies i got the days adrift wrong, it was 118 days.

Re: The last cape horners
Hi Thomas.
If Cook had been there he would have had a spear sticking out of his chest so I would have noticed LoL
I also did a trip to Sydney heads on the James Craig an old sailor that was discovered I think in Tasmania and rebuilt.

Thanks Des. THIS is interesting.
Re: The last cape horners
Hi Graham.
Thanks for that post, I have visited the James Craig on many occasions when I lived in the Blue Mountain's, but only did the one sail in her. I also used to visit all the sailing ships that came to visit Sydney, had some great days out there.

Re: The last cape horners
#24 Thanks Graham an interesting read about the James Craig, I wonder why the fishermen blew a hole in her stern?
Great to see that old girl has been restored and is back sailing again.
When you think that the British Merchant navy was at one time the biggest fleet in the world, it is a disgrace that we have not got 1 general cargo ship preserved anywhere in the UK. It is disappointing that some ship owner could not have offered to the nation an old 5 hatcher midship accommodation vessel. Other nations have done so but not us.
Re: The last cape horners
#26. James, the Glenlee at Glasgow. I have not been down that way for a long time or I would have visited her.
