The only pub that should have its name changed for false advertising is “ The pub with No beer “ . JS

Now when out on Suday drives we even see the trucks loaded with sheep or cattle and I know where they are going, not a nice feeling.
I was once berthed alongside a slaughter house in Lagos; the buildings were laid out in a rough square shape around a central open space, with some of the buildings facing inwards with big openings for windows; the slaughter process appeared to be several guys in wellies chasing the unfortunate animal with axes.
at night they held a disco in one of the buildings, no takers from anyone on board though.
They also had a "canteen" there

Nothing so far Cappy, just gossip. Apparently the owner has received about £10K so far in donations towards the vets fees.

no Cappy, it was put down to relieve its suffering, as there was no hope of recovery. The bill I believe was several thousands as it was sent to that referral vets down near Sedgefield; I believe any remaining balance will be donated to charity.

Talking about The Slaughter House, Fenwick st Liverpool. the-slaughter-house-liverpool.jpg had a few pints in here over the years. Even had a job interview once for a job with the girl that worked for Silver Marine services. German Chemical carrier. Plan was 6 weeks main engine overhaul. While vessel was alongside loading or discharging crack on and do what time allowed. Great money 12000 Dutche Marks a month.
