I know what you mean Cappy, for no reason these old songs just come to mind. Guy Mitchell's Pretty Little Black Eyed Susie is one I remember for a particular reason.
Perhaps our Marian can come up with it.

Always liked Guy Mitchells songs there was so many of them one of my favourites is "Singing the Blues", I often think back to those days, it's funny how
some songs trigger memories of events in our lives, one that comes to mind is Tex Ritter singing The "Bandit of Brazil", it always seemed to be on the radio
when I joined my first ship, cheers to all.

There is one song not that old but old enough that stands out in my mind many times , and i have actually made a CD of it to be played at my passing. Its a song that means so much to me for Personal reasons!

Called "When i Die" By No Mercy

If you find it , you should listed , as to me the Words are very appropriate, and the actual Singing is Fantastic!!
    Cheers

Guy Mitchell, what a singer way back in the 50's, loved to hear him sing.
Like so many from then, a lot better than some of the stuff today.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Life is too short to blend in.

Naw it’s quite repeatable just a pleasantry in reply to Arigato meaning , don’t mention it. Cappy couldn’t find it in his Japanese / English dictionary and may have thought it meant something else. JS

As said earlier, sometimes remembering an old song can trigger a forgotten event, I got married 28th July 1962, we had a couple of weeks in Dawlish Devon, a lovely old town, we were
listening to Frank Ifield singing his new hit song "I remember you" he was a great singer and he yodelled as well. Shortly after the song, it was announced that Marilyn Monroe had been
found dead at her home, what a shock that was, it was a very happy time for my wife and me, but sadly not for Marilyn, cheers.
