Default Great old Ferry Bites the Dust

Well after 99 Years not all in Service, the old Ferry Baragoola finally takes her last Mouth full and goes down in Sydney. Harbour/

What a shame, now she will be gone forever!

Hi Vernon when I saw it on TV I thought it was the South Steyne, the one I was on. They had been working on the old Baragoola for a long time, what a pitiful sight, I had been aboard her a few times.

But no doubt it will be put down to the Virus, every other thing that goes wrong is, so why not that?

I wonder how many of us have travelled on it without knowing, as how many looked at the name of the ferry they boarded to see their new loved one!

John, perhaps Ian took his young lady to Luna Park as the Baragoola used to call in at the wharf there, he even may have stood waiting at the bottom as she slid down one of the giant slides.

Ge Des, slide down the giants slide.
Never heard it called by that name before, but if she had been in Monties anything was possible.

That is between the lovely lady and myself, she had travelled down from Newcastle and we needed time without crowds, another of those 'what if' moments, I could have more of an Aussie than yer goodself
