Default Sails on a bulk carrier

A new build very large ore carrier being built in China is to have 5 rotating sails fitted to it, these have been proven to reduce fuel consumption on other vessels fitted with the same system.

Makes you wonder where they put the masthead navigation lights and how they get round the rules of visibility of such. Maybe they just alter the rules to suit. Or maybe it is just a case of a couple of the old proverbial skyhooks to suit. JS

Two points, why are they using toy tugs on her and will this means that Captain Kidd may return?

It looks like an idea from WALKER WINGSAIL;,

The ASHINGTON had it fitted in 1986 and proved very successful also on many yachts.
I had 3,500 shares in the company, until some American gangsters took over the company, Mrs Walker committed suicide over it. and I lost a lot of money.

The Chinese one will be quite at liberty to play Red Sails In the Sunset at her launching ceremony , would be even more impressive if they were Red without the hammer and Syckle or pick and spade or whatever it is these days . JS
