hi john sabourn #13
good morning
im not going into the quagmire of religion, but your reference to the stars and the phenomenon of haleys comet, like you i believe the heavens has shown man since his life on earth that there is something special out there, this brings me to the higgs boson experiment whereby im sure you know the proton being experimented on in the hadron collider after the collision it was thought that the answer to life its self would be conclusion to the experiment, sadly for the physicists, that experiment only concluded with the partical that was left after the collision, being called the God partical by peter higgs.
showing me and yourself that, and i quote, ( There are scientific answers to most, but not all things ) but i found it strange and at the same time heartening that he peter higgs a physicist and scientist had spiritual faith especially in this day and age where the destuction of the very base of any belief of a god is sought by the seccular left.

good morning, i know of a poisonous dwarf whom might, mind you if she was in a beauty contest between the pig and goat i think she would come third.

Tom peoples beliefs are up to the people concerned . All I will say as regards myself is that I belief in a Supreme Being . Many on this site will recognise that. JS
Especially if they are white. Which brings us back to being careful of what one says so as to stay PC. JC

my entire philosophy or logic is of the same opinion,
tom
i guess the supreme being is the nearest i can go for ....so that in a sense is my religion for the want of a name .....but have found the nearest to the supreme being is in a church....cappy
That’s because you are a Christian Cappy. Before the PC got a hold of the reins it was usual if you recall when filling in an application for a job , one of the questions was religion. Christian or Buddhist or Jehovas Witness used to do. Now people don’t ask the question . There is an unreal feeling of people being afraid to admit to being anything in case they upset someone. A Christian missionaries job these days must be hard going. Cheers JS

well john i certanly have changed my life hopefully for the better i have done many things i am proud of ...but also in earlier years many i am not .....perhaps that is a christian trait .....but the man in the white gown and turning water into wine ....is not a good reason for belief ...we would all be alky ......as for the loaves and fishes well chip butties never hurt anyone ....but i truly believe in my life when i have truly needed i have often been more than surprised......but that is my view only ......cappy
We had a programme on TV here in Northern Ireland , not sure if it was shown nationally .
Here is a man that would make an ideal roll model for a lot of us.
