    Default Politics

Politics do not really interest me unless it directly imposes on my life beyond voting in general elections for the party that I consider will best serve the country.
However over the past weeks I have been captivated by two political events.
Firstly Trumps indictment trial, to call it a trial was a bit of a misnomer as the result was never in question and at times almost decended into farce, at one point a senator had to ask what article were they voting on and another senator saying"I have been involved in many trials and this is one of them"!!!!!
Secondly, the Scottish parliament inquiry into the Alex Salmond case where he is really sticking it into the present first minister.
They say politics is a dirty business and boy watching those two events certainly seem to prove it.

Agree there John, as regards the Scottish inquiry , it seems like we have two not particularly nice people ripping the guts out of each other, and for me, could not care less who wins, kt

Well here in Oz we have two alleged Rape cases in the feral parliament building.

One from a lady who was a staffer claiming she was raped by another staffer in a cabinet ministers room some two years ago.
Went to the police but said she did not want it to go further.
Now has changed her mind and wants police involved.
So what happens, three more ladies from various walks of life say they were raped by the same man in various places at different times some four years ago!!

Now a mysterious letter has arrived at the police from a lady who passed away some two years ago claiming she was raped by a cabinet minister in 1988.

Watch this space for further editions of life of the polis
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Life is too short to blend in.

The unfortunate part of it all is that it impacts on all of us. The old Butterfly flaps it's wings in China and we get a tornado.

Well the best way to test the water about what the Scottish people want is to hold a referendum? You have the LBGT leader of the Scottish conservative party who suddenly seems to have found her voice was ripped a new yesterday by Nicola. The SNP have 61 seats, Cons & Unionists 30, Labour 23, Greens 5, Lib Dems 5, Ind 3, others 2.
Nicola may not survive this nor will Alex shagger Salmond but the SNP will still be the party in charge in Scotland.

Hi, lets keep testing the water until the minority get their way, no need to quote numbers of members of The SP to me, as I already know them, but the majority of people voted to stay, but what the heck, adopt the Iraqi system
