The 21st century to date
Firstly let me start by wishing everyone a peaceful and prosperous new year, you in N.Z are already into 2021.
I was watching Stephen Fry look back on what the previous 20 years has brought us and how much the world has changed with some fantastic inventions and events,
..Graphine, discovered by two Manchester university students, is a material that is stronger than steel yet is incredibly light
...Sat nav, the hand held ones or the ones fitted to your car
....the IPHONE, biggest rip off in my view ever
Then
Golden super Saturday when the U.K. won 6 Olympics gold in one day
Greta thunberg, who like her or not, did put climate change and ocean pollution into the world's view
Facebook
Twitter
Utube
Tinder
All the above has changed how we communicate with each other, not always at the best but have made their inventors mega billionaires
Gay marriage, not against it but does it have to be front and centre all the time
Smoking ban in pubs and restaurants, although I am a smoker I agree with it but it's decimated the working man's clubs and public bar in pubs.
9/11 and it's aftermath
There were a few more but those were the ones that stuck out for me.

Lunatic or not he has done some good believe it or not.
As to the 'smart phone'.
In Adelaide over Christmas asked a cop for directions.
He said is that a smart phone in your pocket?
I said, sometimes!!
Happy daze John in Oz.
Life is too short to blend in.
