As a brief statement has been made to education. Also a brief reference to Scotland in the old Australian Anthem, I should like to point out that it is my belief the Scottish Education system is superior to the English one. I base this belief on my daughter who had no trouble teaching in England with an Hons degree in B of Ed. but she taught also in Scotland for which she had to have further qualifications. JS

    Hi John.
Tell her to come out here she would be made Education Minister, or we at least should get some teachers from Kazakhstan who are about 40th ahead of us. When we first left NZ; our kids were put in classes one below their ability and had to twiddle their thumbs until the others caught up

Des, when my brother brought his family out here some years ago his wto daughters were put in a class one year ahead of other kids their age.

Our education system has a lot to answer for.
14 years in the Uni system ands aw some crackers. Students who you wonder how did they ever get in, some could just about write their name.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Likewise with my two when we got here they were still quite young and both of them after just 3 Months ,were changed to one class higher! And after that they really did so well.
