The UN have just released a report on climate change saying that the world has got around 10 years to take action to limit temperature rises to less than 1.5 degrees or we are all in deep doodoo.
Immediately our esteemed politicians, especially the one who sounds like he is speaking through his nose, has jumped on the telly claiming it was his party that phased out coal fired power stations and that we all should have our houses super insulated and fitted with new boilers but hang on, these boilers will still be powered by gas, something the report says we should be stopping the use of. Also we should be reducing our meat consumption as cows etc produce methane gas, which is harmful to the atmosphere. Instead I think we should be increasing our meat consumption but inventing ways to capture all that methane in order to turn it into useable fuel.
Sea level rises could cause the loss of much of low lying land and the huge wild fires burning throughout Greece, America, Peru should, I think, be faught using sea water. Send powerful fire fighting guys to the areas of these wild fires and use their pumping capacity to either feed into the local fire fighting facilities or run temporary piping from them to the fire areas, this could have the side effect of lowering sea level.
Give it some thought or lateral think as sir Edward bonio called it and the problem can be solved, leave it to the politicians and they will only call for more conference in exotic countries, only reachable by air, flying first class of course!!
