Re: Propulsion
#3 RR has just announced that they and their consortium will create 6,000 in building the mini nuclear power stations.
It is envisaged that 22 stations will be built for the UK in brand new factories.
Good news.

hi vic
this great news, i heard it earlier today and its one more kick back against all whom want to see this country fail after we leave europe,
heard also today that the eu is going to impose quotars on fish stocks in the mediterranean from next year, guess this is another reason why the eu is terrified of loosing the fishing rights in uk waters,

Re: Propulsion
I have a Land Rover 2004 version.
I bought it new as a last car, they are good for longevity if looked after so think it may well see me until |I can no longer drive.
Diesel powered it is economical on the free ways but not so good around town.
Can get about 7.9 liters per kilometer on freeways, about 36 miles to the gallon.
Happy daze John in Oz.

Re: Propulsion
I was wondering, regarding the aux connector on the voltage regulator if one is encouraged to add a permanent fifth 25-watt panel in the system, and will the regulator handle the extra amperes?

Re: Propulsion
How we going to get there?
‘How are we going to get there?’ ‘I suppose it’ll have to be Shanks’s pony.’ ♢ You young people go everywhere by car these days. When I was young all we had was Shanks’s pony.

Re: Propulsion
Victoria, yes in small places such as Tassie that will work very well.
Cities such as London, New York etc will do well with electric vehicles, but consider the distances here in Oz.
Next week as there are no cruises we are off to Adelaide via Mount Gambier, then down the coast to Robe and work our way back to Moama in NSW.
I doubt I could find a taxi who would know the route so will rely on my Land Rover of 2004 vintage to do the job.
Nothing against electric vehicles as such, but as is the case with so much of this new style there will be a price to be paid, and just how good is the new systems anyway?
Tulla airport now has a solar farm, 2,000 panels to produce some 9% of total airport power needs.
