Re: Insurance
You guys are all living in the wrong places. My 2019/20 cover for contents only was NZ$428.87. Surprisingly the 2020/2021 cover is NZ$367.25. That seems like a 14.37% reduction to me.
I take all available discounts for electricity (D/debit payment, on-line invoice) which then allows an approx 10% off BP petrol - one only filling per month (=30 cents per litre).
Car insurance due shortly which I hope will be reduced as car hasn't been able be on the road for some time due to Covid. May well be dissapointed.

Re: Insurance
I think it all comes down to how many Policies one has with a Company, well thats the way it works with me.
I have all my Insurances with one place Total of 7 Policies in all.
This gives you Bonus Points on amount of Policies,so all my payments are a lot les than most all other places that i have looked at.
Pays to stick with one Insurer!
Cheers
