Re: Will the world we once enjoyed ever be the same again.
Des, speaking with my GP on Friday about this and he made a very valid point.
Take the media and gov out of this and what have you got?
Like many of his colleages he thinks this is not as bad as claimed by some, look at the death rate and contraction of it rate, it is hardly significant in relation to the global population with 99% of those who get it recovering.

Very encouraging, but what, do you think, is the politics behind the BS news and making it seem worse?.

Hi John B
Without wanting a reply as this is just a tiny political answer to to your question. Capitalism was dying, it is now in its death throes, they even say another war wont save it.

Re: Will the world we once enjoyed ever be the same again.
Terry we get the choice here, face to face or by phone.
Face to face is the best way, how do they check your blood pressure over the phone??
My GP does blood checks on all his patients every time they see him.
Des, not so sure about the capitalist bit, saw today China is doing well again with exports up and a $3.2 bil surplus with USA.
Re: Will the world we once enjoyed ever be the same again.
On June 6th this year my wife had a heart attack at home , the paramedics arrived very quickly and managed to revive her although she was unconscious at this point. She was rushed to hospital and into the intensive care unit , for the safety of the medical teams anyone entering ICU must be assumed to have Covid. The two nurses on duty broke all the rules , dressed me in full protective gear and allowed me into the ICU , which is a very scary place to be to see my wife and stroke her hand. She died on June 8th.
I am now more aware of this deadly virus than ever before and I would advise all of you to follow your natural instincts to protect yourselves as much as possible.
