If the smell was anything to go by I reckon that stuff would turn you that way.

Re: Gardening
My grand mother grew some spectacular rhubarb with leaves big enough to use as an umbrella, and a few stalks were a decent feed. She buried empty tin cans around the roots to rust away. You can guess, she was Scots and very careful with everything.
My sister took a friend to see her one day, and grandma offered them some cake, the friend having been brought up well, said just a small piece please. When she was served grandma had cut the fruit cake so thin at could have been lace. The friend could not blurting out, 'Not that small"

Re: Gardening
Your gardening story takes me back to simpler times. Using what you have at hand to nurture your garden can lead to some fantastic results, just like your Dad's rotational method.
I've been thinking about getting a metal raised garden bed. They seem pretty sturdy and can be a great addition to any garden. It's all about making the most of the space and enjoying those homegrown veggies, right?
So, if you're diving into gardening or considering a raised garden bed, go for it! It's a rewarding way to spend your extra time during lockdown, and the taste of homegrown produce is unbeatable.

Re: Gardening
I have a 25 square meter veg patch.
Grow enough veg for most of the year and a number of friends.
Currently freezing beans for winter use.
