Re: Dirty war
In Sydney in 2002 Anne had to go into Hospital due to infections from bites in the Philippines Jungle.
She was in there for a week, Excellent service,
The Doctors said they had a Reciprocal Agreement with the UK to treat each others citizens.. That was good, and when she came out we were heading for Alice in a van, they gave her prescriptions for medication on the way.
That w as Good Service.

Re: Dirty war
As Brian says, the NHS is a wonderful service, its just clogged up, my Doctor is a fantastic guy, South African, but to get an appointment takes a couple of weeks, hopefully some!! of the promises made by Boris will help the NHS if full filled, kt

Re: Dirty war
If needed an appointment here with a doctor can be
normally on the same day. Booking for
pos less urgent is generally three weeks.

Re: Dirty war
Yes Brian is correct, we do look after our tourists as well as locals.
It would appear speaking with members and family and friends in UK the system is good but at times overloaded.
Lacking, as is the case in many nations, of fully qualified medical staff.
It is an industry that requires persons with a degree of compassion and interest in the tasks, not there for the money or glory.
It is also an industry with ever changing conditions, challenges that normal persons would never encounter, and in some instances the risk of personal injury or infection from angry patients.
