Somewhere in Australia there was a news item of them having hailstones. As though it was something out of the ordinary and having oblique references to that fantastic description C.C. not cubic centimetres the other one. It is a phenomena that has been going on for tens of thousands of years and for any budding meteorologist is tied up with the Dew points and various temperatures of the upper layers of the Earths atmosphere. Not to lose any sleep over unless you are worried to the damage to your car which you left outside last night. Or maybe that bloke down the road who still insists on burning a wood fire and causing those changes of temperature in the stratosphere. Or just maybe the earth may have moved a smidgen closer to the Sun. As we have a few R/Os on site now it would be nice to know as I could never really understand the night affect on radio transmissions and how radio waves were bent due this well advertised effect. nothing either is ever put forward about any effects of the billions of electronic transmissions being emitted by the second if this could in anyway upset the applecart . cheers js

Agree with Vern the weather is crap here in Newcastle NSW as well and got the AC pumping warm to heat the place up and winter gear back on as well. Woke up to 18c this morning and raining so not a happy puppy at all. Still can not be global warming as Brian's flowers and birds have not changed at all or the bloke upstairs is looking down on him and hissing the rest of us of. Seems that those in the UK have worn the current bun out in their last summer as it sure is not doing its thing here now.
That's the way the mop flops.

My thanks to Brian for this site.

Same down her in Melbourne, very wet , some places had as much as 77 mm Saturday, and cold with it.
For the rest of the week nothing over 18.

If that happens then for the first time in the history of Melbourne it will be the only time the city has not recorded at least one day of 20 in October.
    So much for global warming.
    Happy daze John in Oz.
