    Default Pds

Just watching tonight's news. You may remember the big fire a year*or two back at Fort McMurry, Alberta, Canada. Now we are told that 80% of the children who lived there, now have PDS.While I do sympathize*with all who lost their homes and families.I do wonder where us who lived during WW2 are, concerning PDS.A lot of us went through the Blitz night after night. We were never thought of as 'casualties'.Reminds me somewhat of WW1 and the 'shell shocked*troops'.Guess I am out of touch with today's generation.Whatever happened with.Suck it up* and get on with it?Den.

Den, as I pointed out on another reply the demand for cotton wool now is in excess of production.

But of course now if you can prove it there will be a body you can sue.
The world has become so soft now that if war ever breaks out again such as WW2 these people will be found wanting big time.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

When I saw the title Dennis I thought it was about Pds Sterling or Pds potatoes, never heard of, in those days it mentioned in any other context. Having been bombed out three times I three different parts of the country, London/Manchester/York, the only thing I suffered was travel sickness !! (only joking) in fact Hitler gave me a taste for travelling.

Interesting letter the other day in the Mail from a serviceman who had served in Korea, Northern Ireland and some other places who admitted that PDS really only affected 1 in about 5000 and the rest should get their act together and not rely on the State to support them because they don't want to work, said he'd seen more action than most and in no way was he affected by PDS

The next war will be fought by women, stopping once a month, but at least it will be genuine.

I dont think they will stop at all, in fact they may fight even harder on certain days (watch your step mind, you might get an unexpected tap on the door)

Although well documented on this forum, I was aboard the Eucadia xmas 1971 and witnessed the sinking of the M.V.Harmatten she was struck by 2 missiles from an Indian gun boat there where only 2 British Merchant ships in the bay of Bengal at the time and the night she was targeted which I say with confidence following a lot of research { Indian Navy did target Merchant shipping } At the supposedly safe anchorage 8 miles of shore on the night of 9th of December 1971. Did I suffer P.T.S.D. There isn't a day gone by after all these years that I haven't stopped for a moment and thought of the seaman who lost there lives aboard that ship 48 years ago this year and boxing day this year and every one in the past when she was towed into Karachi and passed us to be beached and scrapped is as clearer today as it was on the day Terry.
