    Default Shaving oddities

If you are a wet shaver can anybody explain how, if useing shaving gel as a lather you only need a small squirt of gel to lather up your whole face, yet with shaving foam you need a whole lot more.
    Also
If my Gillette Mach 3 razor gives "a man the best ever shave he can get", how come I am always finding the wife and daughters using it to shave their legs?

John your ruined mate the best of everything, Remember the ships bond a shaving soap stick, A pack of 5 Gillette blades wrapped in grease proof paper, And the regulation Buttermilk soap for abolishes, Not to forget your own dhobi bucket and a block of rock hard Port Sunlight or Fairy with a scrubber brush. But hey mate us seaman where always turned out spotless I still to this day dhobi my underwear if I bathe or shower cant get out the habit.

Not a problem for me, electric shavers since 1962.
Bought my first in Port Said for 1 pound, it still works but has not ben used for many a long year.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

I just use those BIC disposable razors, one bag for a couple of bob lasts more than a year.
and just an ordinary bar of soap.
    No probs.

The only problem with the old shavers was you needed a Marlin Spike and screw driver to set the bloody thing up, You would loose more shore leave and when you got ashore had more roll up papers on your face than in your pocket...…………………….Happy days Terry

Remember going ashore in New York.
It was several hours before I realized that I had toilet paper stuck over a small nick.
None of my ship mates mentioned it.
    Felt a right fool.
