    Default Shrinking

With all of today's means of modern communication, they say the world is shrinking.
Well it's not only the world but I too have discovered I'm shrinking!!!!!
For as long as I can recall when buying jeans or trousers I brought 36 inch waist and 32 inch leg, yet having recently purchased some new jeans I now find that although the waist size remains the same, I now take a 29 inch leg.
When did I loose those 3 inches? Certainly don't feel my height has decreased by said 3 inches, so have my legs lost those inches or what?
This is most confusing as my older jeans still fit o.k.

I used to be a 31"inside leg, now a 29" inside leg. But I used to be a size 9 shoe, but now a 10& 1/2 or an 11. So I have worked it out, I am melting.

You see the answer is in the seasons.

In Spring and Summer you are at your best and still filled out and fully fit.
But during the Winter most of those Spring and Summer clothes are locked away, no day light gets to them.

When you bring them out again next year that lack of light has effected them.
Some parts, mainly the waist band, have shrunk this in turn effects the leg length.

Then added to this is the part of China where they come from.
I am convinced that some parts still use Imperial measures whilst the rest use metric.

I can fit an 11, 12 or 13 shoe depending where it comes from.
That is when I wear them which is not very often, bare feet do not have the problem of shoe size.
But funny, my feet are now much wider than some years ago and there is hair, or is it moss, growing on them.

I was 5 foot eleven inches tall now Five foot, Nine inches.
That loss of two inches in height puts me over into the Obesity column.. I am lean and mean. exercise, and lift weights daily.

    When I got married in 61 I was 5' 11.5" weight was 12.4 stone, now 5' 10" weight 12.13 stone, I once
read that the reason you shrink with age is the spine contracts.
