In the 1960' there was the Vietnam war, a war between USA and Russia just fought in Vietnam.

The current situation is not that unlike with Russia and USA once again at each others throat on a nuetral ground.

China stands on the side lines observing how it is going, no doubt with Tiawan on their minds.

As to using the bomb, he may do as the USA did prior to the Iraq war, let off one of the biggest non nuclear ones.
But Putin could well let one off over the north sea or similar region as a warning.

This morning a spokesman for the Indian gov said they will stand by Russia as Russia stood by them during the war with Pakistan who had the USA on their side,

AS to money, China is already going to supply wheat to Russia as they are not allowed to buy on the open market, so what is to stop Russia moving money through there?

Germany needs the gas Russia sells them, without it the country will come to a stop, and most of EU need the oil.

USA and others will supply arms to Ukraine, well when manufactured they cannot just be put away, have to use them.

As to charging him with war crimes, he has not committed any as as this is only a war, not some form of Ethnic cleansing, and as to saying he is outside international laws, do you really think he cares??

Don't think Putin's invasion is going to plan. Ukrainian forces have stood firm and are fighting hard to protect their country.
Ukraine and russian federation seamen make up, I think, some 14% of merchant seafarers. On my last ship the mate, chief and 2nd engineer were Ukrainian and were very proud of their country and were a good bunch to sail with.

We all know that people of a certain age group are more likely to suffer from hallucionary behaviour ,loss of memory and amnesia and out of the ordinary behaviour. I believe the likes of the president of the USA and others have to undergo medical and physiciatric reports at various periods of time. I only hope that Russia carries out this safety course and makes the assessments of suitability for the leader of the country. Otherwise we may be well on our way to a Doctor Strangelove situation. #112. There won’t be any detonations over the North Sea unless it is a full scale nuclear war. The fall out alone of only a small megaton bomb would be in the tens of thousands .Any detonations will be a full attack in the hope of reducing the response which would be the end of the world as we know it. One of Putin’s copy cats living north of the parallel of latitude everyone knows , has been testing their flight paths for a number of years now. Don’t think these countries have many mental health programs going. JS

    Hi John.
Just been up for my three monthly implant, and out of the blue my Dr who is very conservative said Biden has a big memory problem, slightly slurring his speech not a good sign.

Latest from Putin, 'we do not want to take over, just protect the small regions that are pro Russia'.

Ukraine now going to apply tp join NATO, bit late now one would consider.

Most pundits here in Oz say it is only a matter of time before Ukraine has to give in !!!!!!

Then they say we must be prepared for China and Taiwan, we are in that region so watch this space.

But it is not just the war, it is the aftermath, cities destroyed, people homeless, refugees looking for safety and so it goes on.

Sleepy Joe would do better to just stay out of kit all, he is in my opinion as unstable as Putin.

#118 All these countries who build massive armies ,navies and air forces , must come to a time when they want to see them used . You don’t put millions in army billets and see them not doing anything for their keep. Look at the huge army of N.K. Even in proportion to its population is massive . Think it is the largest armed forces to its size in the world. The defence forces of any country should be In ratio to defending its own borders. From insurgents. What other excuses can you have ? The world today to all intent and purposes was until quite recently especially in Europe were still fighting over their borders . It seems they still aren’t satisfied with what they have. The European Union which Britain was a part of , did not achieve anything by dropping those borders which to many including me was just pure showmanship with a lot of ignorance thrown in. I am just crossing arms legs and everything else and hoping that the present stupidity and people’s pride misplaced mostly disappears and things can get back to common sense.
