I presume that when you say "us " you mean the West ?. In a nutshell , I have no idea how it can be helped , it's gone too far. When it first started then I would not have sanctioned
military aid as a begin , i would have told NATO to keep their noses out of things until a NATO country was threatened. Aid of many sorts could have been sent but I think military hardware
just made a bad situation worse .

#444, seems that you are against NATO in all your postings.
Russia amassed its troops along Ukraine border in December 2021, no one knew what was in Putins mind, would he invade Ukraine, Latvia or any other country NATo country, remember it was only an exercise we were informed by Putin on numerous occassions.
It went to far when Putin invaded, not when the west supplied aid.
NATO aren't committing atrocities, Russia is.

Also to talk of dialogue, it's impossible with a man with zero trust, poisons those he dislikes, even in other countries, assures the west he had no intention to invade, just an exercise, he said my Putin, zero trust

No , I'm not against NATO but if you think it simply a defensive organisation then you don't live in the real world.
You say that he might invade Ukraine but that country is not part of NATO.

Also Nato membership " is open to any other European state in a position to furtherthe principles of the treaty and to contribute to the security of the North Atlantic area ". Next you will be telling us all that the Ukraine anong with Latvia
and Estonia gently bathes on one of the sun drenched coasts of the North Atlantic Ocean .

    Cool Re: Ukraine

Following is a list of Nato members that do not "gently bathe in the sun-drenched coast of the North Atlantic," but I assume, "do further the principals of the treaty and contribute to the security of the North Atlantic area."

Albania, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latavia, Luxembourg, Montenegro. North Macedonia, Poland. Romania, Slovenia.

In the papers today, The shares in the USA arms factorys have shot up 25%, this is what this war is all about , flogging arms . All the European countrys
are wanting to buy arms now. The USA propaganda machine is really working overtime. a war is a good testing ground for there weapons. They just
love a war in some one else s back yard.

My point exactly , how do these countries have to do with the security with the North Atlantic area , how does Luxembourg safeguard the North Atlantic ?.

Answer , they all help to surround and provoke Russia.

The one thing I can assure you is if the yanks were to pull out of NATO, Putin would create havoc, they are the only ones he really fears, The EU and us have very little to fear.We have been downgrading all our defences for years.

You are perfectly correct in that Keith.
