No shame, it ended WW2.
The pilot who skippered the B 29 Flying Fortress was called Paul Gibbet. He named the aircraft Enola Gay after his mother. When he died in 2006 he couldn't be interred at home or at Arlington alongside his brothers in arms. It was his decision that he should be cremated and his ashes be put into the English Channel.

Re: Ukraine
If reports in the media are even half correct, which is about average, then Russia is suffering large losses of tanks and other vehicles.
Movement forward has come to a stop with about 7 senior general all done in by snipers.
Peace talks maybe, the president said he is prepared to face Putin and speak with him.
Time will tell.

Re: Ukraine
From all reports the Ukrainian Comedian is now offering everything that Putin wanted before the war started, neutrality for Ukraine, no Nato Membership, Donetsk region to be a country in it's own right, he wants Crimea back, that's not going to happen as Russia has a big naval bas there.

Re: Ukraine
Zalensky is also due to adress the Dutch parliament also on Thursday. At least one party has said they will not be present when he does .
Many reasons given among which are the fact that Zalensky should not - as the leader of a warring faction - be allowed to adress a parliament
as he will use the ocassion to further the Ukranian cause which without giving Putin the same right will be undemocratic.
More and more one hears of Ukranian attrocities and of Zalensky's prior history of corruption , supression of the media, and ensuring opposition
" disappears " . Not too different from the Putin stories.
As said before , there are always two sides to any story. Even the FBI say they cant find Hunter Biden's laptop !.

Re: Ukraine
Zalensky imposed restrictions of various political parties and curtailed freedom of speech, but only for the duration of the war. The reason given- some of the parties supported the Kremlin line.
