Close hauled on the port tack.??? I liked the easy ones when it was obvious they were in stays. Gave you a good idea on how the examiner viewed you, collar and tie, shoes highly shined and a subservient attitude. As an added precaution I always cleaned my teeth and took mouth wash. Cheers JS. PS had teeth in those days. JS.

They named a tyre after her Cappy Michelin I think. The original was prone to punctures. JS

My Michiko was in Kaimachi and a virgin (well that's what she told me) she was so demure and beautiful, broke my heart to leave her, your Michico was in Yokohama and well known to the US Fleet, bet she didn't tell you that!

She then changed her name to Fender to recognise the achievements of that great mount Fujiyama city of Yokohama and took up residence in one of the class B bars just off the motormachi. Not at liberty to say which one as that would be infringement to the copyright laws of Nippon. Anyhow your great grandson is doing well and practicing his Geordie for when you meet him. You ken what I mean. JWS.

See how easy it is to change the mood control........................ We may well have all been different ratings but the common denominator is we were and are in the same boat. We all sailed with different companies come from different countries, We need new members nautical input and knowledge and indeed quiz questions. All those outfits sailed to the same ports and the same seas as seaman did from day one. Stop trying to keel hall others its something we all have to indulge in, But i find myself agreeing with Ivan religion, Politics, And personal attacks are the things that create wars, So lets get nautical no Merchant Navy ever created war so why should we.
