Re: The lunatus have taken over
I seen a history programme on TV some years ago Vic it was question time in parliament.A question was asked "What are we going to give back to these countries for everything we have taken from them".Somebody suggested giving them British Nationality, dont' be silly if we give them British passports they will all want to come here. Now who would want to leave a nice warm country to come here somebody put forward. The rest is history. It would be good if you could find that in Hansard.
Regards.

Re: The lunatus have taken over
I think India as a good example of what we did in the country, yes, we did,nt do it for nothing, but we gave them railways, postage services,a police force, a stable system of government etc, this was when we could organise in a big way. Today we cannot organise anything of note, kt

Re: The lunatus have taken over
Jim, I think you will find that at one stage they were and did have entitlement to a UK passport.
Jim, you can look up Hansard, type name of what you are looking for, followed by Hansard.

Re: The lunatus have taken over
I think i am right in saying that when Idi Amin expelled the Asians, many of the asians were citizens of the commonwealth, and so we took them in here. I am not sure if being a citizen of the commonwealth gives them a British passport. I also thought that the maltese were given British passports, could be wrong of course, kt

Re: The lunatus have taken over
Swerving off slightly I see Quantas in there drive to be fair to all, have banned all their staff from useing the words "love" and "darling", so that's going to be a bit difficult to make the announcement by the pilot that "we are now passing over the Darling river" or say to disembarking passengers "thank you for flying with Quantas and we would love to see you again".
How p.c. or lunatus can you get.

Secondly, there was an article in the newspaper (can't remember his name or country) he came from Africa, and he for one was not criticising the UK, in fact he wanted us to go back and rule as there was no corruption under us.
There was also a radio programme recently where they were discussing the UK involvement in African countries and most of the panel were positive about the UK development of their countries.
So it couldn't have been as bad as you make out.

Vic what planet are you actually living on ?? Certainly not this one that is for sure. There was no corruption under British rule, are you having a laugh? My post about the lyrics /words to National Anthems has absolutely nothing to do with my politics. But yet again you and others will try and turn it into a political debate again.
