Canada was mentioned for a country with lots of snow.
Victoria BC on the Island, has the most temperate climate in the country.
Some years back it got a dump of the white stuff.
The city had no snow moving equipment.
Had to borrow some from our local ski hill.
Today I have been out working with on my sundeck in the sunshine.
    No sign of snow!

##most embarrasing for me thom as a 13 year old at the school xmas party .....my granda a 6ft shelty about 14 stone ...me a spotty faced 9 stone .....madly in love with miss mcullough.....his jacket in blue tweed sleeves cut off about 8 inches ...back seam opened and sewed up my size ....looked like that spiv in st trinians ........but bold as brass asked her for a dance and she replied ...i thought you would never ask .......how contented was i waltzing round ...with head tucked into her ample bosom......could have won a 3 legged race myself .......sad but looking back a part of growing up .......happy days

Had a dental appointment this morning. My wife needed the car so muggins had to get the moto out. Arrived at the dentists and he says, I will just give you an injection to dull the pain. Told him not to bother as my face was still frozen.

Not too dissimilar to the time I was there, however the Snow was not that thick, gee whiz!
One thing I did not quite like and its the only thing about parts of Wales (Country Areas) is the Road widths ,gosh my Pal took me out quite a few times and Drove quite fast too, passing oncoming Cars on those really narrow Country Roads, and nowhere to go if anything happened! just Hedges all over! LOL
He asked me once to Drive as he was feeling quite a pain in his back,i oblidged of course but that was the first and last time ! Eeeeek!

My dear Wife has been there and she has said I should take a trip at some point and I think I agree with her~

When one looks back on our youth and compares today, where violence is prevalent .in our time you were in the advanced stage of crime if got off the bus after dodging the conductor. Today the youth would not even know what a conductor was and assume he was the leader of an orchestra. Waiting for the usherette to come round with the ice cream and hope to slip her a foreign coin. Again today the youth are probably not even aware of the better things in life. There are various and numerous diffent things in lifestyle of during the war and shortly after. The present day younger ones will probably look back with nostalgia on their old mobiles and think they were pieces of art. Have probably got this in the wrong post but was in answer to someone querying hardships. They weren’t hardships they were communal problems and everyone had them and was part of growing up. They were far better days as compared to the whinging of today. Cheers JS
