Terry, If your wife has had a shock from the meter, get it reported and fixed asap, sounds like you have an electrical leakage and it is not enough to clear the circuit protection.

Agree there Vic, that's a priority job apart from the danger of shocks it may well be a fire risk, should be sorted ASAP. JFC

Re: Just had the Lecy meter read
Now how about this bit of trivia.
The Smart meter was designed and first built in UK but no one there including the gov was interested.
The meter was then exported to Oz where all houses now have one fitted.
Seeing how well the system worked here in Oz the UK then decided it was suitable for use there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Happy daze John in Oz.
Life is too short to blend in.

Re: Just had the Lecy meter read
Not at my House John and many others here
There was a big ado about installing those Smart Meters and a Petition was put out against having them. I opted out as well and have a letter from Origin that No Smart Meter will now be installed! I like what we have ,there is too much going on with them,as far as costing goes! Cheers

Re: Just had the Lecy meter read
This reminds me of the good old bad old days when you were often left in the dark searching for a shilling to put in the meter
when the money had run out, always seemed to happen at the worst possible moment . RE: smart meters they seem to
have had some problems here and a lot of people don't trust them, I've been offered both gas and electric smart meters but
for me, the jury is still out, I do my meter readings online and for now I'm happy with that. Cheers JFC
