Re: Getting tired of being PC
You may have heard that here in Oz on Australia day January 26th there were some demonstrations by minority groups who claim the country was invaded in 1788 by the British. Nothing further from the truth.
But one local council has put out a memo to all staff saying they must not refer January 26th as Australia day, rather the January 26th public holiday.
By a QC has come out and said he is prepared to act for any staff member who is accused by the council of using that term.
Now the feral gov has come out and said they will pass legislation to stop councils from being involved in any other business than that of the local community, that is roads, rates and rubbish.
But we all as a collective must take some of the blame for allowing minority groups to dictate to us how we should live, what we should do and say.
Until we stand up and say enough already they will continue with their narrow minded crap.
Happy daze John in Oz.
Life is too short to blend in.

They may be having a re-think but are now considering changing the dress code, th.jpg,do you think I will get my knuckles rapped over this!!!
Seriously though there is a backlash from a lot of women now complaining that all these feminists are getting out of hand and need to get real. There constant moaning about this and that is now starting to put some girls out of work.
I agree if a woman is doing the same job as a man she should get the same rate of pay. I bet a lot of women in TV who complained about men being paid more must be delighted that at the BBC for instance the pay scales are now under review. The men are now taking a pay cut, well done girls saving the Beeb licences payers money.

I remember the first time I ever saw women wearing those, it was in a market place in Aden on my first trip it was a novelty for me then, nowadays travelling is not required. JFC

Alas Lewis the maximum rate has been set at £325,000 for newsreaders, that's an awful lot of money for reading off a prompter, in addition they will have pensions, expenses and no doubt a company car, it's still a gravy train

Is it just me Vic, do I sense envy there in your post . I would not mind a drop of that gravy myself, but way over paid for sure.

Just trying to work out Lewis, is Vic an anagram for Ivan, no envy Lewis, not in my nature, as long as I get what I've earned, I'm quite happy, but the sums talked about are quite ridiculous one news reader earning £600,000, no not envious, just disgusted
