    Default Thingy

All my time at sea I never heard the word "thingy" used. No one ever said "our next cargo was thingy", or "turn on the thingy".
It was always "next cargo is coal, iron ore " etc. and I was told to "switch on the echo sounder" or some other named article.
Now retired and living in a household full of females I am constantly being asked to "pass me the thingy", "where did you put the thingy that turns on",
you name it, the "thingy" is used to describe all and everything that we use/eat/go to etc. every day and it DRIVES ME MAD.
And I bet this thingy will make you spit also.

JA (just done an online test and told my education level is PHD, which is a pity as I have no idea what that thingy is)

You are giving somebody a hand and he says pass me the how's your father, how do you deduce from that what it is he wants, but funny enough you always pass him what it is he wants.

There was a man who really took care of his body.

He lifted weights and jogged 8 miles everyday. One day, he took a look in the mirror and noticed that he was tanned all over except for his thingy.

So he decided to do somthing about it. He went down to the beach completly undressed himself and buried himself in the sand except for his thingy which he left sticking up.

Two older ladies were strolling along the beach one using a cane. Upon seeing the thingy sticking up from the sand she began to move it around with her cane remarking to the other lady, there is just no justice in the world. The other lady asked wat she meant

She said when i was 20 i was curious about it when i was 30 i enjoyed it when i was 40 i begged for it when i was 50 i paid for it when i was 60 i prayed for it when i was 70 i forgot about it Now i am 80 and the damn things are growing wild on the beach.

A sore finger is a sore thingy, but alas a sore thingy may not be a sore finger . As they say.
    Hope that helps
