Apparently, tests have found concentrations of lithium as high as 250mg per litre in waters deep underneath the county of Cornwall - higher than anywhere else in the world.
This could establish meaningful onshore lithium production in the UK and would also encourage a lithium-ion battery-based economy to develop in the UK.

China has some of the largest deposits of rare earths needed for some batteries.
Copper mining will have to find some new mines as the current ones are running low.
Toyota is to slow down the production of EV as the uptake is not that great.
