The Weather here
Well seems that Climate is changing here ,as over the past Month the Temps a;; over NSW and I believe elsewhere too have hit record levels.
In Blackheath where it is normally very nice and on the cool side even in Summer (tops of about the high 20 to 30 marks) have hit over the 35/36 degrees and that is Hot for here!
It is said that this Heatwave is the worst in some 138 Years now, other places like the old Penrith where we once lived has been getting up to the 45 degree mark, and that is Hot!
They had a short piece on the News the other day with a few people in Penrith who had taken a Fry pan outside on the Road and actually fried eggs !
I recall back a few Years there when we also had a Heatwave (not as bad) but the Road actually melted and one could not walk on the Tarmac,as it just stuck to your Shoe Soles!
Must have been like running water the other day then ! LOL
The City too where Temps are normally quite pleasant with the Sea Breeze has been hit hard as well.
And still you get those crazy people lying in that blazing Sun! Really mad!
The forecast for the next Month at least is not looking too good either, with long range Temps expected to keep on this level, the Air Con has been working overtime!! But thank the Lord for them!
Oh well that's life, but wish it would now end! (No not life LOL the Hot Weather)
Cheers!

Re: The Weather here
Vernon, you moved from Penrith where on a number of adsy it has gone over 40 so no good complaining.
But the weather this year is close to that of 1998 where here in Melbourne we had a series of days well over 40.
So far this year the highest has been 38, but higher up country.
It is summer so snow falls and frost are out of the question, but it is no different to many in the past.
Early 80's we had a series of summers just like this followed by a number of very cool well below average ones in the early 90's.
Just part of the weather cycle and nothing to do with climate change.

Re: The Weather here
Agree with some of that John
But the News says it is the Hottest period here in some 130 odd Years! So must be something to do with Climate mate!
As said Blackheath has never been this Hot (Yes we moved from the heat in Penrith to get cooler, but seems one cant run anywhere!
Cheers
Just check the Charts over the past Month here in NSW

Re: The Weather here
Ive been coming out here since 1953, 64 years ago, think it is cold out here now since 1991 when came here to live. Maybe the air conditioning had something to do with it. Talking about the A/C just got the second bill in and now in credit 145 dollars in the second bill since doubling up on the solar panels. When they sell the Electric company will offer to take it off their hands in exchange for the money they owe me. Cheers JS

Re: The Weather here
You are very lucky, It is freezing here, Yesterday Freezing fog, car covered in ICE,
I usually miss January and February on my cruise, But this is the first winter here I have had for several years, and do not like it one little bit, PLUS Costing me a Fortune on heating bills.
2016 here they said it was the hottest on record, Load of Rubbish, My heating was on all summer. cold and damp. Just an excuse to bang up the Tax on my little car.
Looking forward to going back to Tahiti in March just to get warm
Cheers
Brian
