The article by Prof. Plimer ios very interesting, this man is a fully qualified climatoligist and his firts comment, 'take the politic sout of global warming and then you will see that nothing has changed over the past five centuries at least'.

When I was in Marble Bar, at the top end of WA, in 2007, the Temperature was in the 50s, and going to Whim Creek the Temp was around 45 and the Whim Creek Pub had no beer, so just had a cup of hot tea. The Beer Truck was two weeks overdue.
Loved it up there.

Well its official now we have had our hottest January since records began in the 1800's
So don't know what Temps they got up in the North ,and in the Creek!

Thanks for that Vernon, I have had a few Emus in the Iron Cad, the only way to keep cool, good memories.
Regarding the two Locals who died after leaving their car and no water. on that track, we came down from Headland to Marble and then on towards the Pilbara and out towards Tom Price Six people died, Two English women, two Germans they had left the car to walk, and two Australians, the Ozzies left their car that had broken down and one body was found One K from the car and the other one, two Ks from the car. You cannot get any further without water,
Everyone tells you Never leave your car, They did not listen to good advice.
We walked into Kings Canyon in the Centre, twixt Uluru and Alice, and to the far end. That was HOT, we took two litres of water and barely made it back to our Camper van, , it was an ordeal, we were staggering near to collapse, and very dehydrated..
The Australian outback is the only place left where you can have real adventures. and I really do love it out there. far better than any city . Tough but an experience like no other.

Hi Vernon.
That is why we went to NZ 12 years ago to escape the heat and the Mountains was the coolest place around, but mostly it was the fires. been back 7 years now [where's the bloody time gone} but it's a good temperate climate in Cooma so far had two days of 30, but country NSW has been over 40 for days sometimes, the worst Willcania and Burke days of nearly 45, we get ours in the winter which I don't like.
