The cheapest so far is LVE, via Market .com................£568.10p
So I will telephone them in the morning to try and get it lower.

What I do not like about the Insurance questions on all of them is.. Marital Status,
Married
Single.
Co-habiting
Civil Partnership.
etc
What the hell has who you are sleeping with, when you are driving a vehicle got to do with it.???
If I am cohabiting am I driving worse than if I was in a civil partnership??
Dos this affect the price I have to pay??
Ever thought about leasing a car Brian. If its the same as Motorbility you pay a set figure each month for 3 years and get a brand new car. Road tax, insurance and all repairs taken care of. The only thing you pay for is petrol or diesel. After 3 years give the car back and get another new one. Worth checking out.

Seems that Car Insurances are much the same here to Capt!
One has to Shop around for the best deal.
When Buying a New Car though seems that the cost is a lot lower than some used Models??
Do you Guys also pay Registration and Full Comprehensive ! Or just the actual Car Value Insurance cost!?
We are slugged with with all of them, plus on Cars over 5 Years old one has to get a Pink Slip I think known there as MOT.
Really getting very costly to keep a Car on the Road these days!
Don't know about that lease thing here JC ,but I am sure its very similar and worth a look at!
Cheers
Think I will sell mine and Buy a Motorised Bicycle LOL;)
Lot lest cost on that!
Brian,co-habiting means 'living with' i.e. at the named address ,not sleeping with or in a sexual relationship with, although the two things usually go together of course.
I had that explained to me by an official after I got ,shall we say, a bit indignant, and told him to mind his own bleeding business.Attachment 20574
Thanks for that Davy
But I still cannot figure out how that affects my driving or car security.
that list also includes Widowed or Divorced.
Cheers
Brian
Well Brian that depends on the hassle you get whilst driving - Married = constant complaining about your driving ability - Single = tut tutting whilst you are driving - Co-habiting = sharp intakes of breath at intervals and - Civil Partnership = requirement to see your current driving license after most journeys. I would personally bite the bullet and buy a mobility scooter with two cross of St George flags flown from the handlebars, terrorize the locals and ...k the consequences.
Brian maybe they have got their questions mixed up, maybe immigrants with bad English, maybe they mean do you cohabitate the same time as driving. Cheers JWS
brian try insuring your car from both your addresses some areas are cheaper than others get a quote from Fleetwood and one from boltonistan worth a phone call? jp
Interesting article in UK papers last year about car insurance. It claimed that car insurance needed to be increased by 25% over the next four years to accomodate all costs.
Here in Oz varies from state to state, no MOT in Victoria but yes in NSW.
Just insured my Land Rover for next year, fullt comprehensive it will be $796 with ecess at $750.
Then rego at half price for seniors at $368 no matter the size of the vehicle.
