Just thinking about that comment that every family has its nutter and could not think of any in this family. Just maybe I should look into the mirror before making that statement hey.

Any person outside of this group would consider us nutters all for accepting the conditions that some of us did. There is one thing that I strongly do object to however is as Brians letter to the PM re the EU is being taken as the rest of the country as an Idiot. You don't have to be an idiot to be a nutter. Daft as that may sound. JWS

#5 My younger brother, now passed away, lived in our old family home in Fleetwood but regularly visited me each two years in Auckland -- he just loved my three children and they loved him ( he always brought a big parcel of Blackpool rock for them ) The night before he was due to fly out for another visit to Auckland via Johannesburg he was approached by two men whilst having a quiet pint in a bar in Fleetwood. They sat down at the same table as my brother and started chatting and were very friendly. Then they said " we know you are flying to Auckland tomorrow to see your brother, would you like to have your trip paid for and take a small parcel with you to Johannesburg " My brother was planning to fly Air France via Joburg and have a stop-over. My brother said No in a very strong voice, I want nothing to do with anything shonky. These two guys persisted and eventually after a lot of questioning from my brother admitted that they were from the Foreign Office and the parcel was believe it or not, a vacuum flask of pedigree Bull sperm, destined for Rhodesia. At that time there were sanctions in place against Ian Smith and Rhodesia, but they desperately needed to bolster their pedigree livestock industry and this was how they were going to do it. This story is amazing but very true. Enjoy, Peter in NZ.

    HI John B.
Don't be to down on that skipper he might not have given a thought to sharks in the interim. But the bloke that was taken near where John S lives in W Aus, was swimming further out than anyone else and he was supposed to be an experienced surfer, they think they caught the shark, then the same week only a few miles away a man and a woman go snorkeling DU, the woman was cut in half by a big white probably the cousin of the first one. If I.S. was doing a shooting in a supermarket you wouldn't go in for a pound of butter.
    Cheers Des

#14 Very true and what one would suspect as an approach by a government department. The Information I was asked for was the silohuettes of any submarine in or out of port, the guage of the railway lines in the docks, any gun implacements in the dock area, the depth of water alongside the berth. He even offered me a camera, and I said are you mad. In that period there were various business people picked up for espionage, one name that sits in my memory banks was Grenville. These people weren't spies but ordinary travelling business men doing what they thought was their duty. When apprehended I would imagine they got no help from the twits who had enrolled them. There was a master and second mate arrested in China in the 60"s for making notes of their passage up the Yangste, one got 6 years and the other 4 I believe and that's only the ones that one heard about. The general public only hear what they are supposed to hear, Cheers JWS

The saddest part other than the loss of liofe is the fact they ae hunting for the shark to no doubt kill it. Now when the shrks come ashore then I wil, agrre with rmoving them but something I vaugley remember from my past is thta sharks live in the sea!! The why are we so shocked when one attacks someone?
    Happy daze John in Oz.

The Sea is NOT a Playground.
a shark views anything as food. Don't want to be attacked then don't go in.
    Simple.
The Shark is now an endangered species. They do not come into our world and so it should be the other way as well.
    Cheers
