It is said you are never to old to learn and this morning I have learned a great deal.
I have always regarded Boris Johnson as Coco the Clown, the Bumbling Buffoon, today he has changed my mind. In a long speech on the E.U. question the reasons for leaving were spelt out in clear, common sense terms, without resorting to the fear tactics of the opposition. This was the finest speech I have heard from a politician, it hurts me to praise him because on every other issue I totally disagree with him.
Excerpts of the speech will be carried by the news channels and press, hopefully this will encourage the public to argue and debate, then place their vote in June.

I found him to be very good, excellent presentation. Not scare mongering like Cameron who has predicted a WW3 because we leave.
Let us hope that everyone gets the message.

What i cant get my head around, Is this was in the Tory manifesto a promise to vote in or out of the single market, Let the people decide............... If your going to scare the bloody life out of people telling them Armageddon is imminent if you vote out by the same P.M. Who promised a democratic vote it makes a farce of democracy itself. Cameron failed a negotiation in which he thought he would get a lot more from the rest of the E.U. Than whats on the table. Well dogie Dave smell the coffee. We all eat sh*t and die, Back off and leave the decision to the people Terry.

the government of both tory and the opposition vote to stay in ....it is the job of the government to give what they believe is the best way for the country to go ......the old saying dont shoot the messenger comes to mind ......if the euros give cameron nothing when we are in ....what would you expect when we are not in ......hans and pierre will show us.....what they could never show us in the past.....the door shut.........each person has a vote what more do you wish for.......its democracy regards cappy

Louis I watched him this morning and I was of the same mind as you before but he did make a good stand and I think he still has the best to come yet this is getting very interesting Cameron is trying to put fear into the people but I don't think its working?? jp

#8 Vern its not the politics but the politicians. They seem to have more than their share of people with more human failings than any other trade or profession. I don't like any of them as don't trust any of them to make a sensible decision. it is mostly made upon how it will keep them up in the pollsters ratings to gain a further term in office. Abbot was put out for this reason as they thought he would go down like a lead balloon in any future poll. His Mark Antony and grinning Brutus"s thought they had a winner in Turncoat. How wrong they may prove to be. Turncoat is purely there for the ego and the power thrill it may give him. If theres one thing I don't like its disloyalty, and anyone who practices it, is always capable of doing it again, and don't think those ministers now in power and their head honcho deserve any advancement, they dont cut the mustard as far as I am concerned. The Liberal party as it stands and is led at present, its biggest concern is keeping the big end of town happy. This is where the left and right shows. Any party in power should be there in general to lift the living standards of all and not just give a bigger pay packet to those already being well paid. On the other side the Labour party has shown by its last 2 leaders and the present one to be incapable in the past of protecting the borders from unwanted visitors and would probably flop over again if get in, although they pledge it wont, pledges mean nothing from any politician. The only answer as far as I am concerned as voting is compulsory, is to vote for every independent regardless of what party they come under, the heading Double dissolution or should I say a Double Cross, should prove to be no advancement for any party.
