My brother was a Miner, No Miner wanted to go on strike, they had the very best wages and working conditions of any industry in the country. They were forced out by Scarhills gangsters. Threats of Violence against Miners Children and wives My brothes car was smashed and his windows of his house smashed until he came out. All those idiots seen charging the Polices horses were Students and rentamob.

a member of my family stood for four hours and was spit in the face by a spotty faced youth he was a policeman of 5 or six years in the job.......when he was told to stop them he didthe spotty faced youth messed himself when collared .......i recall scargill whinging as they took him away......the government won.......funny how the country has kept warm without the overpriced coal ...but scargill still lives of the union dues paid by his members ......ps the spottty faced youth was let out the hurry up wagon ....no one could stand the smell......regards cappy

Brian its common knowledge that Maggie wanted to brake the miners at any price,she wanted to close the mines anyway.I hope that they have the enquiry just like the Hillsborough enquiry.I've got no connection to it but as I seen it it was more than taking a sledge hammer to crack a nut.A mate of mine who had a mate in the police said his policeman mate earned enough overtime during the miners strike to pay off his mortgage.Your talking of students and rent a mob,what did Maggie bring in,I'm convinced that the army were there masquerading as police men.I was listening to a seaman who I suppose you could say was a flying picket,no harm in that if you want to give your fellow workers some support.This is what he said,he was thrown into the back of a transit police van,inside the van he said signs saying property of the MOD with the arrows.Was this an army van resprayed in police livery,if there is an enquiry all this will come out,maybe some soldiers may come forward and say that they were there.
