    Default Happy Valley

Did any of you guys go to Happy Valley, cant remember just where it was I am thinking Lima but not certain . It was the old prison in the desert that had been turned into a whore house. All the girls had a photo outside their door and a description of what they specialised in . You could easily tell which where the best by the queue outside..... Didnt fancy following a load of bagged up seamen so settled for one the less popular ones ..............

Remember going there in 56/57 wwith some of the lads when on the Esso Stockholm. Not sure but think you had to have an I.D. card to show when passing thru gate but was never asked for mine. Rumour has it, was put there by Joe Shell. Can anyone confirm? Mike

Hi guys thanks for the memory jog . We did call at curacoa on that trip , but we went to so many others that all the memories of it and all the things that happened seem to get mixed up. [ The bacardi and cokes didnt help either]
    Here's to tall ships
    Here's to small ships
Here's to all the ships on the sea
But the best ships are friendships ..
Here's to you and me .

Campo Alegre, I remember well brought back too the ship a dose of dibs and dabs, I had a bright idea of getting rid of them with a generous splash of old spice . it worked but the old plums disapeared fast for a few hours , and the pain was something too behold,
