    Default Past Comedians

Remember not so long ago all the comics that used appear on TV., they could make you laugh without swearing.
Here is some I can remember;-
    Frank Carson
Him with the two wellies, marked R & L.
    Morecombe and Wise
    Jim Davidson
    Two Ronnies
    Mike and Bernie Winters
    Ken Dodd
    Jim Tarbuck
All genuine comics that without repeating themselves could keep you entertained.
Todays comics like Micheal Macintyre and John Bishop are ok in small dozes.
Some of the comics on Bishop Saturday night show a few months ago should have been sued under the trades description act.
    What's your thoughts?

Vic, totally agree, do not need the constant swearing to get a joke over. Take Billy Donnelly, to me he is a good actor( Mrs Brown) and good presenter for series route 66, and other travel shows. But he turns me off with the continuous swearing during live shows. Just saying.
    Regards Stan.

I like Peter Kay[English] don't think I have heard him swearing. Irish comedians Dara o'Briain, Sean Lock & Ed Byrne. English, John Bishop, Scottish Kevin Boyle, Billy Connolly swear occasionally.

Old Scottish Favourites, Frankie & Josie & Chic Murray. English,Ted Ray & Bob Monkhouse

I often get told off for swearing in the house. The wife says it just shows lack of vocabulary. JS

All the good ones now gone such as Dave Allen and others. But of late on some of the cruise ships there have been a few from Liverpool who judging by the looks are of the old brigade and hilarious to listen to.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Anyone recall a duo called Jewel & Warriss. They did a radio show, Up The Pole, I think. It was as funny as haemorrhoids.
